When She Smiles
when she dozed off in the middle of my narration
I was annoyed and incensed, how could she?
When she walked past me with her rich friends
The friendship line thinned, I wondered why
Why did I keep on.
She likes to boss me around and talk ill
When I turn my back;she even told
Them I was illegitimate, and the whisper went on
Until I shyly asked her-how comes
You look now’t like your siblings
Oh yee first born?
My kindness she trumpled on like a front door
Rag,and took for granted my constant help
Yet I forgave her.Yet I still call her buddy
Because when my buddy smiles,
It’s sunrise allover.
It’s a dozen heads of sunflower.
